Here are some common inquiries about our concrete blocks.
Do you sell to the public?
Yes! We sell to the public. You can place your order by phone or email (orders@canalblock.com), or come to our office at 3562 Nugent Road, Port Colborne.
What is the strength rating of your blocks?
All block are manufactured to CSA STANDARD CAN 3-A165-14 and are a minimum of 15MPa based on net area. Higher strength block (20MPa, 25MPa, and 30MPa) are available on request.
What do you sell?
We manufacture and sell standard Concrete Block (aka ‘cinder block’). We also stock a selection of Patio Stones and Deck Piers (from Triple H Concrete), Single Steps, Parking Curbs and Splash Pads (from Parson’s Precast), Cement Bags (from St. Mary’s Cement), Pre-Mix Mortar S (from Kwik Mix), Reinforcing Wire (from WireLock) and 15M Rebar (20′ lengths). We can also provide specialty ties and connective systems (from Blok Lok).

What is your delivery time?
Delivery times depend on your location and the volume of your order. We work diligently to ensure timely delivery, keeping you informed throughout the process. Typically full truckloads can be arranged for next day delivery; LTL loads require more notice to fill the truck.
How do I place an order?
To place an order, you can contact us via phone or email at orders@canalblock.com. Our team is here to assist you and will guide you through the ordering process.
What is your return policy?
Unfortunately, due to considerable handling and transportation costs, standard block, landscaping and wire products returned to our yard in resaleable condition are subject to a 50% restocking fee. Cement products and special order (architectural, high strength) products are not eligible for refunds. Please review your quantities before ordering and ask our staff if you need help estimating.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
For larger projects, we can discuss possible bulk discounts, making it easier for you to manage costs while ensuring you receive high-quality materials.
What types of blocks do you offer?
We offer block in three type of concrete: standard concrete, light weight and CarbiCrete concrete (cement-free). We can produce block to higher strengths, such as 20MPa, 25MPa and 30MPa. We also offer architectural split face products, on a made-to-order basis.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4:30pm. We are closed on Public Holidays (New Years Day, Family Day, Good Friday & Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Holiday, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas & Boxing Day).
